The Avian Reconditioning Center is a facility dedicated to rehabilitation, public education, and exhibition of raptors, or birds of prey. They're a non-profit organization, open to the public every Saturday from 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. with flight demonstrations with their Master Falconer and his collection of birds at 12:00 P.M., weather permitting, of course!

Description

The Avian Reconditioning Center is a not for profit birds of prey rehabilitation and education facility. One of our main focuses is the physical reconditioning of raptors that have been inactive for an extended period of time while recovering from illness or injury. We also use falconry techniques to evaluate a bird's chances for survival in the wild after recovering from an injury and to teach nestling birds how to hunt. Education is a primary focus as well and we provide many education opportunities using live birds of prey.
