National Pet Week

National Pet Week was jointly founded in 1981 by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Auxiliary to the AVMA, and is widely celebrated throughout the United States and other parts of the world. In 2010, National Pet Week is celebrated from May 2-8.

National Pet Week and a good opportunity to show your pet how much you appreciate their loyalty and devotion to you.

Remember that all cats, dogs, and other animals should receive regular medical care, including vaccinations, exercise, playtime, licensing and proper identification.

According to the Humane Society of the United States, nearly 22,000 homeless dogs and cats enter shelters every day.
