We Finished the 5K!!!
Park Avenue Animal Hospital took part in the Track Shack Corporate 5K, presented by IOA, in Downtown Orlando on Thursday, April 15. The doctors and staff joined over 12,600 runners, joggers, walkers, and their fans in a 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) road course through the neighborhoods surrounding Lake Eola.
Some of us ran, some of us walked, but we all finished!
The Corporate 5K has run for 16 consecutive years and is the largest road race in central Florida. It also has the honor of being one of the largest 5K events in the nation. Proceeds from registrations directly benefit the Track Shack Foundation and the Parramore Kidz Zone project. Both community-oriented organizations encourage fitness and activity, and focus on youth athletics. Our fantastic team tee-shirts were designed by our resident artist, Daniel Rubinstein, which we got lots of compliments on! The Corporate 5K is a great team-building and community-building event and we were all very proud to take part in it.
